Our red sex link pullets been raised in chicken tractors moved to fresh pasture daily, by us, here on our farm. This practice provides the birds access to fresh forage and clean ground, but keeps them safe from outside threats.

If you want a friendly, easy to care for hen that will consistently lay big, brown eggs- this is your chicken. These chickens are calm, adaptable, and have an excellent feed conversion. They are perfect for the backyard, pasture poultry operation, or anything in between.

At the time of pick-up, these pullets will not yet be laying eggs. You can expect your pullet to start laying within 1-2 months of bringing her home (generally 20-24 weeks of age). Point of lay pullets are a good options for those who do not what to endure the brooding process. Buying birds at 16-18 weeks of age allows you to get them right before their peak production cycle. 

All chickens have been vaccinated for Marek’s disease and have Coccidiosis prevention.

FARM PICK-UP IN MAY ONLY

We will contact you the week of April 22nd to schedule a pick-up date & time, beginning May 1st. You will need to bring a tote, dog crate, or cardboard box to transport your pullets. If transporting in a truck bed, I suggest bringing a tarp or blanket to shield them from wind.
