Point of Lay Pullets

These pullets are 16-18 weeks (4-4.5 months) old at the time they are offered to leave our farm. We consider this age of 16-18 weeks as “point of lay,” as these birds are fully grown and showing hormonal signs of pending egg production. They are not laying yet, but you can expect eggs anywhere from 20-24 weeks of age.

They’ve been raised in chicken tractors moved to fresh pasture daily. This practice provides the birds access to fresh forage and clean ground, but keeps them safe from outside threats. These are healthy birds. Our family frequently interacts with them, so they’re also very docile and friendly.

They’ve been vaccinated for mareks.
